Hello my lovely lovely lot. It has been a while crocodile hasn’t it? Last April to be precise! I’m sorry I have left it so long. However I’ve finally decided to pluck up the motivation to reunite my fingertips with my keypad. I have lots of content ideas floating around in my head so it’s about time I get them out in the open. Pop the kettle on, get yourself a little snack and let’s have a quick catchup xo
I just want to say…

Since we last checked in the world has been on a bit of a whirlwind. I wanted to start off by saying my heart, thoughts and prayers are with the people of Ukraine right now, like many I feel helpless and worried. I don’t really have the right words to say when it comes to politics, so I won’t. I don’t want to come across as insensitive as I put my ‘positive’ content out there, but I feel it is important to try and keep the flame of hope burning. ❤

So 2021 has been and gone…

We started off with still staying at home and continuing zoom call meetings and quizzes. Eventually time was a healer and we were able to get back into work and finally cuddle our loved ones. Our incredible NHS continued to amaze us and scientists were able to provide us with vaccines and give us hope. In the media we voted Giuseppe Dell’Anno as our ‘Bake Off’ winner, I was pleased with this as he was my winner from the start. Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice as our 2021 Strictly winners, with Rose making history on the dance floor, proudly representing the deaf community beautifully. I LOVED watching them dance. Meanwhile China declared that pandas are no longer endangered (happy dance) and a rare white rhino was born in Suffolk zoo. (Ps. If this is the first blog you’re reading of mine, hello, this is how my random brain works). Time has flown by but it has also felt like it has gone in slow motion. 2021 faced us with challenges but also graced us with moments to treasure.
For me personally, it’s been a little rollercoaster of happenings. Of course I won’t be going into all the nitty gritty and sharing my whole life story with you all, but a few things have changed which caused me to put my blog on pause. The biggest thing to have happened was that I had to find another job, We were still in lockdown and being told to stay at home and it felt tough. I was looking on Indeed everyday, morning and night. Eventually I managed to get myself a job locally working in a coffee hut, which was lovely (If you know me you know I am a coffee lover). One night I saw an ad for something completely different and thought, I would love to give that a whirl, I didn’t really have the full experience they were after but I thought, let’s just apply anyway… A few weeks later I got the job! It’s nearly a whole year on I can happily say I love my job. I do believe that everything happens for a reason. If you’re reading this now and you feel a little lost, (which is totally normal by the way) just keep swimming. Things will fall into place soon. Once you feel down, really the only way left to go is up!

Now I feel like i’m into the swing of my new routine, Christmas has been and gone and it’s the start of 2022, I need and want to put the time and effort back into my blog. I loved creating ‘Positivi-Tea’ last year, writing ‘good news’ blogs kept me going mentally during a crazy time. I still want to keep it going, but when I feel like it rather than hitting a timed schedule. Giving myself that freedom to write other blogs and also jam pack more into each edition. You may be reading this thinking, Molly why are you even explaining all of this? Well, It helps me to write out my thoughts and make some kind of ‘plan of action’, then I can head towards that goal in a clear direction. I felt like I needed to check in before I started writing more blog posts. This space is my happy little bubble and I want to create a little community of sunshine, so you feel like you’re listening to a pal when reading my blogs. I fully understand my writing style is chatty and informal, but ‘that’s just me’.
I have lots fo content idea Ideas floating aorund in my head, from Disney content, tips and recommendations (I could write/chat about Disney for hours!). To London hotspots and the best afternoon tea suggestions! If there is anything you would like to see/read, pop me a message in the comments. Don’t forget to follow along and I’ll catch you in the next one.
Here’s a link to BBC’s ‘Uplifitng stories’ page, definitely recommend having a quick read to make you smile!
Keep smiling, keep going and stay FABULOUS!
Bigg love, always – Molly xox
